10.3 and 3.1 Cannot find drivers for Epson TMT70II Receipt Printer
Problem
Client purchased a POS device and it did not come equipped with a receipt printer driver. They cannot get the receipt printer to work.
Solution
You will need the manufacture's printer driver to use this printer. Download and install the needed printer drivers as described below:
- Go to https://epson.com/Support/Point-of-Sale/Thermal-Printers/Epson-TM-T70II/s/SPT_C31CD38104
- Install the driver Epson TM Virtual Port Driver v8.60a.
- Power the printer off.
- Power the printer on while holding the feed button. This will print import printer settings.
- Run TM-T70II_APD_5.10R1.exe from the driver download. This will download necessary files in C:\ windows\Epson.
- Run the two applications starting with the bottom EXE as administrator.
- When prompted to register the printer, make sure"
- To select the correct COM Port that is plugged into the back of the POS unit.
- Your port settings match those that printed with the feed test earlier. - Confirm test print works.
