10.3 and 3.1 Ticket Printing Issues When Ithaca Printer Is Not Windows Default Printer
Problem
Tickets only seem to print if the printer linked to the Ticket device is the default printer in Windows. I can print to it when my Ticket device is set to either Win- or Win-SpecificPrinterName. But once I set my default Windows printer to something else, ticket printing just previews and stays open in Adobe, or closes Adobe but does not print anywhere.
This issue occurs with Adobe 8, 9, 10, Acrobat, Reader.
Having a PDF writer printer such as Adobe PDF, CutePDF, PDFCreator seems to be part of the problem.
Solution
We have had success printing tickets to other printers that are not set as the Windows default printer when PDF printers are installed by running Adobe Reader X with this patch installed.

If you still have the problem with Adobe 8 or 9 installed, try installing Reader X and then install the above patch file.
