3.1 Background Visit Processing with a Honeywell Scanner works for some Users IDs but not others
Problem
We run Background Visit Processing using a Honeywell scanner for our memberships. It seems to be working for some users but not for others.
Solution
Note: This issue was addressed with the release of RecTrac 3.1.05.09. In the event you are running RecTrac 3.1.05.08 or previous, refer to the solution below.
Ensure that Visit Processing is NOT set to Auto-Open on your menus. In some instances we have found that when Visit Processing is set to Auto-Open, the program starts before the workstation recognizes VIC. As a result, visit processing fails using the Honeywell because VIC is required to run hardware.
VSI recommends allowing the workstation to recognize VIC prior to launching Visit Processing.
