How to configure Axis IP cameras for RecTrac 3.1
Problem
What needs to be done to configure Axis IP cameras in RecTrac 3.1?
In 10.3, the Photo device had a location to specify the camera's IP but there are no settings for this in the 3.1 Photo profile.
Solution
1. Log into Windows with a User ID that allows you to modify programs.
2. Install Axis Streaming Assistant on the workstation that will be using the camera and capturing customer photos. AXIS Streaming Assistant is an application that makes the HTML5 video streams from an Axis camera accessible in Firefox or Chrome browsers. Download and install it on the workstation as an administrator.

3. After installing and launching the application, a message should state that new video channels have been found on the network.
4. Click this link to install the cameras. Rename them to reflect their physical locations (For Example: 'Community Center Left' instead of 'AXIS M1011').
Note: If a message states that required video and audio decoders are not installed, install them.
5. Right-click on the newly installed cameras and choose Preview to verify you can see a video feed.
6. Close the Axis Streaming Assistant program.
7. Exit your browser session.
8. Restart the web browser and log in to RecTrac 3.1.
9. Verify that the Photo profile in use are configured with the Use HTML5 option enabled. Make changes, if needed and Save.
10. Test capturing a customer photo from Household Management. When clicking View Video, the web browser should prompt you to share the camera with RecTrac. The name you have the camera should appear in the list of cameras (For Example: 'Community Center Left').
Note: At this time Axis cameras have not been tested with the VIC EXE/Internet Explorer combination of video capture.
