10.3 and 3.1 Honeywell Captuvo App goes into Failure Mode upon sleep or screen lock
Problem
Honeywell Captuvo App goes into Failure Mode upon sleep or screen lock. We have to completely re-boot the Dryrain app to get the sled working again. Any thoughts?
Solution
Vermont Systems is aware of an issue with Honeywell Captuvo scanners and Apple iOS 11. The issue is caused when a Captuvo sled with an iOS 11 iPod/iPad/iPhone is locked or goes to sleep for an extended period of time. The result is Failure Mode and the App must be force-quit and restarted to get the hardware to come back. This issue:
Only affects iOS 11 (all versions of it)
Only affects Honeywell Captuvo sled
Affects ALL Captuvo Apps, not just ones made by Dryrain Technologies
Temporary work-around for the problem is to DISABLE the auto-lock feature of the iOS device so it does not sleep, do not lock it, and simply keep it charging when not in use (to keep the battery up).
Your other option is to avoid updating your Apple devices to iOS 11.
