Problem
We just installed our Topaz signature pads onto our workstation and followed the install topic doc. Our signature pads will not respond or ask for signatures.
Solution
Check the model number and verify it has been qualified by Vermont Systems to work with VIC. Uninstall the signature pad then uninstall VIC. Reinstall VIC.exe as local host admin and then reinstall the Signature pad as local admin.
Steps For Solution
- Check the model number on the back of the signature pad in the upper right-hand corner.
- These models are qualified by VSI. Other model numbers may not work with VIC.
- If the LCD 1X5 type model will be the T-LBK462-HSB-R or T-L462-HSB-R.
- If SigGem 5.7 is the model type the model number should be T-LBK57GC-BHSB-R.
- If the model matches and still does not work uninstall the signature pad following the topic doc "switching hardware" instructions
- These models are qualified by VSI. Other model numbers may not work with VIC.
- Uninstall the VIC.exe next.
- Reinstall the VIC.exe installer as a local Host Admin.
- Reinstall the Signature Pad.
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Profile Assignments.
- Under Linked Profiles, locate your workstation.
- Verify the correct signature pad profile is linked to the workstation and workstation is being returned by VIC.
Return to Global Sales and trial a transaction that would prompt a waiver with a signature to verify the signature pad is functioning properly.
