TSP100: Drawer Not Popping after Windows/Driver Update
RecTrac 3.1.10.16.01
Table of Contents
Problem
After a Windows or printer driver update, when I try to open the drawer in RecTrac or in the Star TSP Future Print software, the drawer refuses to pop.
Solution
The port on the back of the TSP100 offers two uses: One is a buzzer and the other is a cash drawer. Upon install, the setting is set to the buzzer. Some customers have reported that, following a Driver/Windows update, all settings have reverted to default and need to be reset.
Steps For Solution
- Go to the control panel in Windows.
- Go to "Devices and Hardware."
- Right-click on Star TSP100 and then click Printer Properties.
- Click Preferences.
- At the top of screen, click the tab "Device Settings."
- Within "Device Settings," locate "Buzzer" and change to "Cash Drawer."
- Click Apply and then test the drawer.
