What is VSIConnect?

VSIConnect is a self-subscribe email notification service to provide our customers with information associated with our applications. VSI has been accumulating Knowledge Base entries for several years in our VSITrac internal support system. This KBase has been available to customers online for a few years but its interaction with individuals was always reactive in nature. Customer A would have an issue and would then search our KBase for a possible solution. As with all KBase systems, the information they store has the potential of saving a customer from experiencing an issue in the first place. The main stumbling block is not a lack of information, but a better way to distribute this information. To facilitate this channeling of knowledge, VSI created VSIConnect.
We released VSIConnect in mid-2012. The content options are broken into Critical Alerts; Non-Critical Alerts; Knowledgebase; and News & Events for each of our products. Subscribers will receive one digest email every morning with only information matching their selection criteria. We highly recommend that at a minimum the primary contact at your site for each VSI application subscribe to the appropriate VSIConnect channels.
Subscribing to VSIConnect is simple. Once you have logged into the VSI website, you can click on the Account Setting link that is next to your login name. Two thirds of the way down this page will be a VSIConnect button that you can click to expand. This will present a table of selection criteria that will allow you to narrow down the alerts that you receive. After you check the items you want, re-enter your password and click the Update button at the bottom to save your settings.
