10.3 and 3.1 Hot Buttons not Fitting on Main RecTrac Screen Properly
Problem
Hot buttons are not fitting properly on the main RecTrac screen and Windows scroll bars are showing on the right and bottom of the RecTrac window. What is the cause and how can this be corrected?
Solution
Change Windows DPI setting from Large (120 DPI) to normal / default (96 DPI).
The main RecTrac menu appearing with scroll bars and users getting button-widget errors on every screen are good indicators that a change was made to the resolution DPI setting on the workstation. To correct this error, reset the DPI settings to 96. You may need to reboot the workstation for your changes to take effect. Detailed instructions for resetting the resolution DPI to 96 for Windows XP and Vista appear below.
To Change the Resolution DPI Setting in Windows XP:
1 Exit all programs.
2 Right-click anywhere on the desktop and click Properties.
3 Click the Settings Tab and click Advanced in the lower right-hand corner.
4 Expand the DPI Setting drop-down list and select Normal size (96 DPI).
5 Click OK to the Challenge Message. Click Apply.
6 Restart the workstation, if necessary, for changes to take effect.
To Change the Resolution DPI Setting in Windows Vista / Windows 7
1 Exit all programs.
2 Go to the Control Panel
3 Go to Personalization
4 Go to Adjust Font Size (DPI)
5 Change the DPI to 96 and apply your settings.
6 Exit back to the main screen. You may need to restart the workstation for settings to take effect.
