Solution
A 'design' is the term for how you label customized screens or menus. There are two kinds of design system codes: Menu Design codes and Screen Design codes.
Menu Designs
1 Create a Menu Design system code: 'ManagerMenuDesign'.
2 Create a new menu and label with the Menu Design system code. A new menu starts with a clone of the VSI standard menu, and then you edit to your liking.
3 Create a Menu Design Profile, and link the Menu Design system code.
4 Assign the Menu Design Profile at the appropriate level in Profile Assignments. This will determine who sees that menu when they login to RecTrac.
Screen Designs
1 Create a Screen Design system code: 'FrontDeskScreenDesign'.
2 Create new screens as needed, and label with the Screen Design system code. New screens start with a clone of the VSI standard screen, and then you edit to your liking.
3 Create a Screen Design Profile and link the Screen Design system code.
4 Assign the Screen Design Profile at the appropriate level in Profile Assignments. On each screen, if a customized screen exists with the Screen Design system code, that screen will display instead of the VSI standard.
