How are Households Organized in RecTrac 3.1?
Problem
What happened to the Primary Guardian and Secondary Guardian terms in RecTrac 3.1?
Is Person the new term for Family Member in RecTrac 3.1?
Solution
Households are still called households, but to better reflect the human data, what was previously called the Family Member table is now called the Person table. This expands the concept of the people in the database to include parents, guardians, facility contacts, team contacts, players, as well as household family members.
Each Person record has one or more links to identify what parent table(s) they belong to. For example:
A child can be a member of more than one household
A family member is in a household and can be a player on various teams
Relationships between household members are defined using user-defined system codes.
