What is File Extractor used for in RecTrac 3.1?
Solution
Found under Management > System Management, File Extractor is a program that extracts documents or images from the BLOB table and saves them to an extract location relative to the data server.
It is most commonly used to export images that have been uploaded to the RecTrac database for inclusion in WebTrac before copying them to the web server.
After the program extracts the files, it does not delete the BLOB records.
To view the files in the BLOB table, go to the Document Center by clicking the printer icon on the top right of the ribbon bar.
