How to set up Demographics Tracking in RecTrac 3.1

Is Demographics Tracking available in RecTrac 3.1?
How do you set it up?
Solution
Yes. Demographics Tracking is available in RecTrac 3.1.05.10 (and later) for POS Service and Inventory Items. In RecTrac 3.1.07.00 (and later), Demographics Tracking is available for All Modules - All Sales, if desired.
To track demographics:
1. Go to your Payment profile Core Settings group and make a selection in the Demographics Prompt Setting field. Use the 'i' or '?' icons for field and options definitions/explanations.
Note: If your Department uses more than one (1) Payment profile, then be aware that this field must set for each applicable Payment profile you use.
2. For POS Service Items and Inventory Items only: Enable the Include in Demographics option on all applicable POS Service Items and POS Inventory Items for which you wish to track Demographics.
- For POS Service Items, this field is located in POS Service Item Update Additional Settings group.
- For POS Inventory Items, this field is located in POS Inventory Update Additional Settings group.
Note: Use the Bulk Change program in POS Service Item Management and POS Inventory Management to enable the Include in Demographics option for multiple items, if desired. Bulk Changes Available Field = IncludeInDemographics.
3. When setup is complete, a mandatory field for demographics will appear on Payment Screens, both in RecTrac and in WebTrac. The Demographics Prompt Setting option you select on your Payment profile determines the Demographic data you will enter on the Payment Screens. For Example: Selecting 'Zip Code - PSS/PSI All Sales' results in a Demographics Zip Code* field appearing on Payment Screens in RecTrac and WebTrac for each applicable Service Item or Inventory Item.
