How to change a patron's Answer to a Question in RecTrac 3.1
Problem
A woman registered her son for one of our our basketball classes. We have a question that comes up - that prompts for the child's tee shirt size in a dropdown list. She inadvertently picked Adult Small, when it should have been Adult Medium.
I looked all through the HH stuff, and Person Update, but can't seem to find that field to change it. Can you please point me in the right direction?
Solution
Answers to questions can be updated in Global Sales Purchase History Change. The following presents the basic step-by-step process. These steps assume you are using the standard default VSI Design.
1. In RecTrac, go to Global Sales. Lookup and select the Household for whom you want to change the Answer to a Question.
2. In Global Sales, click the Purchase History tab.
3. In the Purchases DataGrid, highlight/select the item with the incorrect answer. In this instance, it would be the Basketball enrollment.
4. From the row of buttons immediately below the Purchases DataGrid, click Change.
5. Select 'Change Question Answers.' The Question list from the original transaction will appear.
6. Make changes as needed. In this instance, you would select 'Adult Medium.'
7. Click 'Continue.' Changes take effect immediately. No further action is needed. You may look up another household or exit from Global Sales as needed.
Note: To test whether the answer has been updated, use Household Inquiry. In this instance, you would go to Household Inquiry and select the Household in question. With the household selected in the DataGrid, you would click the Activities button (because the question was linked to an enrollment). From the Inquiry DataGrid, you could highlight/select the item in question (the Basketball enrollment in this case) and click Questions/Answers at the bottom of the screen. The updated Answer will display.
