Unable to access the Vermont Systems FTP site using a web browser

Question
What happened to your FTP site? I can't access it using a web browser.
Answer
We've gone secure! As of April 5, 2021, Vermont Systems uses Secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP) exclusively. What this means is that you can't use a web browser to transfer files to and from the Vermont Systems sFTP site anymore.
To access the sFTP site, you need a file transfer client program that supports sFTP. There are numerous versions available online and most of them are free. Two commonly used options are FileZilla and WinSCP. WinSCP is included in the \ThirdParty directory of RecTrac installs.
To Connect to the Vermont Systems sFTP Site
- On your workstation or server, open your file transfer client program of choice.
- Enter "sftp.vermontsystems.com" as the Host Name.
- Enter "22" as the Port.
- Enter the current Username and Password credentials. You'll find them on the Vermont Systems support site under Support > sFTP Password Info.
