The Serial Tickets Update screen allows you to add and/or update individual Serialized Tickets for the Ticket Block you selected on the previous screen. When a Serialized Ticket is sold, track-able information, such as Sale Date and Time, Buyer (the household that purchased the ticket), and Receipt Number are recorded. Serialized Tickets offer the option for assigned seating by Area, Section, Row and Seat (or any combination thereof) in your venue, if desired.
To Create Serialized Tickets and Assign Them to Specific Seats
- In POS Ticket Management, create your Ticket Code. Ensure you select Serialized as your Block Option.
- In POS Ticket Update, create Ticket Blocks.
- In Ticket Block Update, create your Serialized Tickets. VSI recommends using the Bulk Create button at the bottom of this DataGrid.
Note: When creating your Serialized Tickets, each portion of the Serial Number should correspond to a portion of the Seat Assignment, barring any prefixes or suffixes you may use. The formula you use to construct your Serial Numbers is critical for the success of the Ticket Assignment program.
For Example: Your Serial Number might be "MEZZ-A-AA-01," where "MEZZ" is the Area ( the Mezzanine), "A" is the Section, "AA" is the Row and "01" is the Seat. This information is critical for success of the next step.
- Run the Ticket Assignment program (POS Ticket Management • Ticket Assignment button at bottom of Main DataGrid) to link specific seats to your Serialized Tickets.
