The Label Template Maintenance program allows add, change, delete, and clone Label Template Codes that can be used to print names, addresses, inventory bar codes, etc... on physical labels.
Note: Field names on the screen with red labels* are required by the screen design you are using. Mandatory fields in the default Vermont Systems design are noted where appropriate. Your design and mandatory fields may vary.
From the bottom of the screen...
Click Save to save your changes. You will return to the previous screen.
Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving any changes.

Label Template Code (SALABELTEMPLATE_LabelTemplateID)
If you are creating a new Label Template Code, enter your code in this field. This field will accept up to 30 alpha-numeric characters. This is a mandatory field for the default VSI RecTrac Design. Your Design and setup may vary.

If you are updating an existing Label Template Code you will not visit this field.
DeleteDescription (SALABELTEMPLATE_Description)
Enter the description of your Label Template. This field will accept up to 100 alpha-numeric characters

DeleteOrientation (SALABELTEMPLATE_Orientation)
Expand the Drop-down list and select whether you wish to orient the label stock in Portrait style (vertically) or in Landscape (horizontally).
DeletePoint Size (SALABELTEMPLATE_Pitch)
Accept the default value (8) or expand the Drop-down list to select another value as desired. This field dictates the font size for the print on your label. The higher the number, the bigger the print.
DeleteColumns Per Page (SALABELTEMPLATE_ColumnsPerPage)
Enter the number of columns of labels on the sheet of label stock. To find this value, start at the left-most label and on the page and count over to the right of the sheet horizontally.
DeleteRows Per Page (SALABELTEMPLATE_LabelRows)
Enter the number of rows of labels on the sheet of label stock. To find this value, start at the top of the sheet and count down to the bottom of the sheet vertically.
DeletePrint Lines (SALABELTEMPLATE_PrintLines)
Enter the number of lines of text or numbers that will be on each label.
For Example: A mailing label might require three (3) lines (Name/Street Address/City, State, Zip Code) or four (4) lines (Name/Street Address/City and State/Zip Code)
DeleteBarcode Size (SALABELTEMPLATE_BarCodeSize)
If this is a barcode label, enter the barcode size, which is the height of the bar code image, using a scale of 1/720 inch scale. The average is 175. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 size of bar code.
DeleteBarcode Spacing (SALABELTEMPLATE_BarCodeSpacing)
Enter the space between the text and the barcode using a scale of 1/720 inch scale. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 size of bar code.
DeleteOptional Barcode Prefix (SALABELTEMPLATE_Prefix)
If you wish to prefix each bar coded line with a symbol or a number, enter that character here.
For Example: # or <.
DeleteOptional Barcode Suffix (SALABELTEMPLATE_Suffix)
If you wish to add a suffix to each bar coded line with a symbol or a number, enter that character here.
For Example: # or >.
DeleteBarcode Font (SALABELTEMPLATE_BarCodeFont)
Click the File Upload icon and browse to the font file you wish ot use for bar codes.
DeleteVertical Offset (SALABELTEMPLATE_VerticalOffset)
Enter the value of the vertical offset (in pixels) in this field.
Vertical offset is the distance between the edge of the page and the labels using 1/720 inch scale. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 down to top margin of 1st label.
DeleteHorizontal Offset (SALABELTEMPLATE_HorizontalOffset)
Enter the horizontal offset between the edge of the page and the labels using 1/720 inch scale. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 right to left margin of 1st label.
DeleteLabel Height (SALABELTEMPLATE_LabelHeight)
Enter the label height using the 1/720 inch scale. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 top to bottom label size.
DeleteLabel Width (SALABELTEMPLATE_LabelWidth)
Enter the label width using the 1/720 inch scale. Use the following formula to compute the offset: x/720 left to right label size.
DeleteMiscInformation (SALABELTEMPLATE_MiscInformation)
Enter any additional information regarding this label that you feel is necessary. Information in this field does NOT print on the label. It is for informational purposes only.
Delete
