The GL Template Custom Field Update screen allows you to add the custom fields you want in the Header, Body, or Footer of your export file. It also allows you to add custom formatting rules, if needed.
Buttons on the screen…
Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving your changes.
Click Save to save your changes and return to the previous screen.
Core
Field Code (SAGLField_FieldCode)
Enter the name" of your custom field here. This will be a short description of what the custom field will contain. Examples might include "PostingDate Location Offset Deposit etc.
DeleteDatabase Field Name (SAGLField_GLFieldName)
Select the Database Field you want to use for this custom field.
Click here for list of records available.
DeleteDelimiter (SAGLField_GLFieldDelimiter)
Enter your field delimiter here if one is needed. If a delimater is not needed, leave this field blank.
Examples might include: the word Comma or the comma key, the word Pipe" or the pipe key the word "Space" or the space bar the minus or dash key etc.
DeleteEntry (SAGLField_GLFieldEntry)
The Delimiter, Entry, Start, and Length fields all work together to determine what gets exported. Here is an example:

In the image above let's say the Account # in RecTrac is "212-655-4555.0000." (This is "Account Number (SAGLCode" in the Database Field Name field).
- The Delimiter is "Hyphen."
- Entry is "2." For this account number that value is 655.
- Start is "1 and Length is also 1." The value returned will be 6.
- If the Start value were"2 and if the Length were 2" the value would be 55.
- If we changed the Delimiter to "." (period) the Entry "2" would be 0000.

Format Text (SAGLField_FormatText)
If certain text in this custom field needs formatting, enter it here.
For example, if you custom field is MonthYear, you might enter YYYYMM.
DeleteGL Template Custom Field Format Rules (SAGLFieldUpdate_SAGLFieldFormatDataGrid)
The GL Custom Field Format Rules DataGrid displays special calculations or rules that your custom field requires if any.
Click Add to continue to the GL Custom Field Rule Update screen. There you can set up your calculations.
Select an existing record and click Change to continue to the GL Custom Field Rule Update screen where you can alter the settings.
Select an existing record and click Delete to remove it.
