Validation will still occur, however, and the parenthesis and dash are still required. The end-user will be forced to manually key in the parenthesis and dash to create a phone # that is formated as (999)999-9999. This change is due to a defect with the default Samsung Keyboard on Andriod 10 devices. For current Android 11 devices, the pre-formating of phone # fields will occur correctly so the user can simply key in the 10 digit phone # without the need to manually key in the parenthesis and dash. |
