The Equipment Sign Out program allows to you link (sign out) a single piece of Equipment to a Staff Member. To unlink the equipment when it is returned (i.e. to sign it back in), use the Sign In button on the previous screen.
Note: Field names on the screen with red labels* are required by the screen design you are using. Mandatory fields in the default Vermont Systems design are noted where appropriate. Your design and mandatory fields may vary.
To Issue Equipment using this Program
- Click the Combo Box icon for Staff Code to select the Staff Member to whom you will issue the Equipment.
- Click the Combo Box icon for Equipment Code to select the piece of Equipment being issued.
Note: Equipment Codes can be issued to one (1) Staff Member at a time only. The system will not allow you to issue the same Equipment Code to multiple staff members.
- Accept the default entry in the Issue Date field ("Today's" Date) or overwrite as needed.
- Click the Calendar icon to select the expected Return Date or leave this field blank if this is a permanent assignment.
- Determine whether you want to Automatically Log Equipment. When this option is selected, the system automatically enters the Equipment in the Combo Log when the Staff Member is selected.
- Enter any free form comments, as needed, to go along with the issue of this Equipment to this Staff Member. This field will accept up to 30,000 characters.
- Click Process. You will be returned to the previous screen. The Equipment will be signed out to the Staff Member, and the record will display in the DataGrid.
- Repeat these steps to sign out other equipment as needed.
From the bottom of the screen….
Click Process. You will be returned to the previous screen. The Equipment will be signed out to the Staff Member, and the record will display in the DataGrid.
Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without issuing any Equipment.

Leave this option de-selected if you do not wish to include this Equipment in the Combo Log automatically when the Staff Member is selected.

Enter any free form comments, as needed, to go along with the issue of this Equipment to this Staff Member. This field will accept up to 30,000 characters.
