The Questions/Answers screen allows you to filter this report by answers to questions you use during the sales process. For Example: You are running an Activity Enrollment report and have a Question for "Shirt Size" in the DataGrid. Possible answers during enrolment are XSmall, Small, Medium, Large, and XLarge. Your Valid Answers for this Question are "X" and your Operator is "Begins." When you run the report, it will filter to all family members who chose either "XSmall" or "XLarge" as their shirt size.
By default, questions/Answers are not printed on the report output. To list questions and answers on a report, you must create a custom output.
To Use Question Answers as Reporting Filters
- Expand the Drop-down list for Match Optionand make a selection.
- Match Any - Family Members/Households will appear on the report output provided they have at least one matching answer to at least one (1) of the Questions in the Question/Answer DataGrid. For Example: You are running an Activity Enrollment report and have two (2) Questions in the Question/Answer DataGrid, one for Shirt Size (Combo Box ? XSmall,Small,Medium,Large,XLarge) and one for Signed Waiver (Logical ? Yes). With the "Match Any" option selected, an enrollee who provided a valid answer for the Shirt Size question (Medium) but who did not sign the waiver (No) would appear on the report.
- Match All - Family Members/Households will appear on the report output provided they have at least one matching answer to every Question in the Question/Answer DataGrid. - Click the Picklist icon for Question to select the Question you wish to use as a reporting filter. You will continue to the Question Text Management screen. Highlight/select the question you wish to use and click Select.
- The Question Text field will populate automatically with the text of the question you just selected.
- Enter your Valid Answers. Your entry in this field is dependent upon on the Data Type of your Question. Use the "i" tool tip Help for the field description.
- Expand the Drop-down list to select your Operator. This determines how the Valid Answers will be ascertained. The selections in the Operator list are dependent upon on the Data Type of your Question. Use the "i" tool tip Help for the field description.
- Click Add. The Question will move up to the Questions/Answers DataGrid.
- Repeat Steps 2-6 to add additional Questions as report filters, if needed.
- Click Process when ready to run the report.
Buttons on the DataGrid
Delete - Highlight/select an existing record and click Delete to remove it from the DataGrid. This removes the Question as a report criterion only. It does not delete the question from the database.
Change - Highlight/select an existing record and click Change to remove it from the DataGrid and return it to Question/Answer Criteria group.

Expand the Drop-down list to select your Match Option for the Question/Answer Criteria filter for this report.

The report will list all family members who chose either XX-Small X-Small X-Large or XX-Large as their answer because all four answers begin with "X." Family Members who selected "Small Medium or Large" will not be included.
- Equals - Family members will be included on the report if their answer matches exactly the letter(s) or character(s) you enter in the Valid Answers field. For Example: The Question is "Shirt Size" and possible answers are are "XXSmall XSmall Small Medium Large XLarge" and "XXLarge." You enter "Medium" in the Valid Answers field and select "Equals" as the Operator. The report will include only those family members who chose "Medium" as their answer because it matches exactly (i.e. equals) your Valid Answer. If you entered "Med" as a valid answer then the report would be blank because "Med" does not equal "Medium."
- Lookup - This option is best used if your Valid Answers are a comma-delimited list. Family members will be included on the report if their answer matches any of the answers you enter as a comma-delimited list in the Valid Answers field. For Example: The Question is "Shirt Size" and possible answers are are "XXSmall XSmall Small Medium Large XLarge" and "XXLarge." You enter "Small Medium Large" in the Valid Answers field and select "Lookup" as the Operator. The report will include only those family members who chose "Small Medium or Large" as their answer because all three (3) shirt sizes appear as possible answers in your Valid Answers field. The report will not include family members who chose any of the shirt sizes starting with "X."

Wildcard - Enter all or part of a wildcard value. Asterisks (*) are not needed but can be used if desired. Family members will be included on the report if their answer meets your Wildcard criterion. For Example: The Question is "Shirt Size" and possible answers are are "XXSmall XSmall Small Medium Large XLarge" and "XXLarge." You enter "*Large" in the Valid Answers field and select "Wildcard" as the Operator. The report will include only those family members who chose "Large XLarge" and "XXLarge" as their answer because the report is looking for "Large" as a wildcard. Family members who answered either "XXSmall XSmall Small" or "Medium" will not be included because "Large" does not exist in any of those answers.

A Visit linked to a single Purpose Code of "Attending Class" would NOT be included.
- Match All - This feature is not currently available and results in a blank report. To be included on the reportc a family member must meet all the answers listed in the Valid Answers field. However a family member can have other answers that do not match and still be included. For Example: You are running a Pass Visit report and are filtering by Visit Purpose. Valid Answers include "Pool Weight Room and Aerobics." To be included on the report a family member must have at least three (3) visits ? one linked to each Purpose Code. A family member could have more than three (3) visits but at least one Visit must be linked to each Visit Code listed as a Valid Answer. Additionally the family member can have Visits linked to Purpose Codes not listed as a Valid Answer such as "Attending Class and still be included provided a visit exists for all the possible answers that were selected.
- Match Exact - This feature is not currently available and results in a blank report.To be included on the report a family member must meet answers listed in the Valid Answers field exactly. A family member that has fewer or more matches will be excluded from the report. For Example: You are running a Pass Visit report and are filtering by Visit Purpose. Valid Answers include "Pool Weight Room and Aerobics." To be included on the report a family member must have at least three (3) visits ? one linked to each Purpose Code. A family member could have more than three (3) visits but at least one Visit must be linked to each Visit Code listed as a Valid Answer. For Example: The Question is "Donation Amount and you entered 25.00" as your Valid Answer. Any family members who used "25.00" or a dollar value larger than that as their answer will be included on the report. Family members who used any dollar value less than that will not be included because the answer must be equal to or larger than (i.e. greater than or equal to) 25.00.
- Less Than - Family members will be included on the report output if the dollar value they used as their answer is smaller than the dollar value you entered in the Valid Answers field. For Example: The Question is "Donation Amount and you entered 25.00" as your Valid Answer. Any family members who used a dollar value smaller than "25.00" as their answer will be included on the report. Family members who used "25.00" or any dollar value larger than that will not be included because the answer must be smaller than (i.e. less than) 25.00.
- Less Than or Equal To - Family members will be included on the report output if the dollar value they used as their answer is smaller than or equal to the dollar value you entered in the Valid Answers field.
