3.1 VIC not working after update to 3.1.05.08
Problem
VIC not working after 08 update:
ERROR condition: Remote mismatched fields or mismatched BEFORE-TABLE attribute for temp-table parameter or dataset member parameter. (12324) (7211)
Solution
Build 3.1.05.08 includes a new version of VIC, (VIC 3.1.5.21). Installing that requires a stopping and starting the VIC Service and VIC.exe (if applicable). Restarting the computer is often the easiest way to accomplish this.
If VIC doesn't connect after restarting the workstation, you might need to stop and restart the VIC AppServers on your RecTrac server.
NOTE: Restarting your VIC AppServers is a TEMPORARY SOLUTION only. VIC Service and VIC.exe installs that are NOT running VIC 3.1.5.21will attempt to connect. The VIC connection will fail. However, the VIC AppServer will not release the connection. Eventually, the VIC AppServers will max out. For this reason it is imperative you update ALL workstations running VIC to the latest versoin AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Once you have updated VIC, verify the version is VIC 3.1.5.21. You can do this by clicking on the User Settings icon in RecTrac. The icon is located on the top right-hand corner of the RecTrac application. You can also verify your VIC version manually. Refer to KBase Entry 3043 for details.
Depending on the verion of RecTrac you were running when VIC was installed, rebooting the workstation MAY NOT force an update of VIC. VIC installations using RecTrac 3.1.04.38 or previous will not auto-update. In this event, you must update VIC manually or uninstall/reinstall VIC. See KBase Entry 3114 for details.
