VIC is down after update to 3.1.08.00 / Progress 11.7.2
Problem
We updated to Progress 11.7.2 and RecTrac 3.1.08.00.
Client workstations cannot connect to the VIC.
The VIC log has the following: Error! in 'CreateConnection.GetOpenAPIobj' for Appserver Connection:http://SVITS1052273:4180/aia/Aiavic?AppService=VIClive Error Msg:SessionPool : NoAvailableSessions[Could not connect to the AppServer: General Error: 9990. (7203) ]
Solution
Check the Apache Tomcat Service on the server. If it is NOT running, then start it and ensure the Startup parameter is set to 'Automatic.'
Once the Service starts, attempt your VIC connections again.
If VIC connections are still down, go to IIS on the Server and ensure the Tomcat server farm is online.
Then instruct your RecTrac 3.1 clients to connect to VIC.
