10.3 and 3.1 How To Manually Uninstall Tomcat
Problem
Customer installed RecTrac into the wrong directory and needed uninstall and re-install it. When they un-installed RecTrac, they did it in the wrong order, and thus needed to manually uninstall Tomcat. When they re-installed RecTrac into the new directory, the original Tomcat service is still in windows services, and it is pointing to an invalid location and file.
How can they fix?
Solution
To remove the Tomcat service and re-install you need to do the following:
1 Browse to :\tomcat\bin\.
2 Right click and edit service_bootstrap.bat.
3 On the last line change install to uninstall, Save and Close.
4 Double click and run service_bootstrap.bat.
5 Right click and edit service_bootstrap.bat.
6 On the last line change uninstall to install, Save and Close.
7 Double click and run service_bootstrap.bat.
8 Then go to your windows services and Verify that the New apache tomcat service is pointing to the correct path and start the service.
