Problem
We are changing our T1 provider so we will soon have a new external IP address. What changes do we need to make in RecTrac or WebTrac for this to be a smooth transition?
Solution
In RecTrac, there are no changes required for an external IP address change. In WebTrac, as long as the domain name doesn't change along with the IP address, you won't need to make any changes.
However, depending on your credit card processor, you may need to notify them of your new external IP address. For example, at Plug'nPay, your IP address is part of your account setup. Check with your credit card processor to be sure.
As a final precaution, test all your firewall rules after the IP address change.
