Problem
We are having some problems displaying F1 Help on workstations that have IE10:
1. The user opens the Help.
2. The Table of Contents (TOC) displays in the left panel as expected (with the full list of TOC links).
3. The user clicks a TOC link and the help topic associated with that link displays in the left panel. It is not supposed to do that. The help topic is supposed to display in the right panel, and the TOC list should display in the left panel.
4. The TOC works as expected with Heading 1 links. It's with the Heading 2 links that we start seeing that problem.
Earlier versions of IE and other browsers (Firefox, Chrome, and Safari) seem to still work fine.
Solution
This issue has to do with Internet Explorer 10 Compatibility View.
Under Tools > Compatibility View Settings, there are toggles labeled 'Display all websites in Compatibility View' and 'Display intranet sites in Compatibility View'. If you turn those toggles OFF, the help TOC will behave properly.
