10.3 and 3.1 Invalid Numeric Format Setting Causing Unpredictable Behavior
Problem
One client workstation has a problem where all commas in RecTrac are appearing as periods, so 1.00 looks like 1,00. It also gives this error when signing in:
This Client Potentially has an Invalid Numeric Format Setting.
Continuing May Cause Unpredictable Behavior
Solution
The customer's Region and Language Format setting in Windows is set to English (Canada) so when the OpenEdge WebClient was installed, it defaulted to English - International. The solution was to uninstall the WebClient, then reinstall, making sure that the Language setting was English - American. They did not need to change the Windows Region and Language settings.
