10.3 and 3.1 VIC Hardware Startup Error: Startup Connection for Hardware Failed.
Problem
I see this notification whenever I login. What does it mean and how do I fix it?
'Hardware Startup Error:
'The startup connection for hardware failed. No hardware will be available until this is fixed and the browser is refreshed.'
Solution
This message means that you have a Vermont Integration Client (VIC) profile linked to the workstation where you're receiving the error but that VIC is either not setup properly or not running on that workstation,
Here is a list of areas you might troubleshoot:
1. The VIC Service on the workstation isn't running and needs to be started.
2. The VIC Exe on the workstation, if applicable, isn't running and must be started.
3. VIC is not installed on the workstation, neither as a Service nor an Executable.
4. The VIC AppServers are not running.
