How do you stop and restart the VIClive AppServer?
Solution
In the event that all clients are having a problem connecting to VIC, a restart of the VIClive AppServer may be needed to correct the issue. Here are the steps:
1 Launch the OpenEdge Explorer on the RecTrac database server or use a browser from another machine to get to OpenEdge Explorer on the server ( example; http://hostname:9093).
2 Find the VIClive appserver and click on the name to get options
3 Click Broker Control
4 Click StopAppserver and wait several seconds to make sure it stops
5 Click StartAppserver and wait several seconds to make sure it starts
6 Close out browser session for OpenEdge Explorer
