Problem
The Notification Center is giving us a message saying the Event Timer has not run 453 minutes. What does that mean and what needs to be done?
Solution
The message means that your Scheduled Events have stopped running and haven't run for the amount of time indicated, 453 minutes this case.
Your Event Timer needs to be restarted in OpenEdge and Windows services.
Steps for Solution
- Log in to your RecTrac server. Open a Web Browser.
-
For the URL enter:
- http://:9094 or http://localhost:9094, if you are running Progress 11.7
- http://:9093 or http://localhost:9093, if you are running Progress 11.3
- Enter the username and password. The VSI default is 'admin' for both the user ID and the password. Your setup may vary.
- Check the box next to .EVENTlive or .EVENTdemo. You only need to select the one for the database where reports are not working.
- Click Stop near the top of the window.
- Select the AppServer that you chose in step 4, and then click Start (green button next to stop).
- Exit Open Edge Explorer and use the Windows taskbar search to locate and open Services.
- Highlight the (VSI) Timer.
- Click Stop. Wait a few minutes.
- Click Start to restart the timer service.
Go back to RecTrac and wait a minute, and your reports should start.
