Cannot print or reprint Gift Cards from RecTrac after update to 3.1.07
Problem
We are unable to reprint a Gift Certificate using the Reprint Gift Certificate or by going to Template Design Studio and selecting Quick Print. It was working until the last update. Thanks.
Solution
Go to Template Design Studio and make the following changes to your templates in Template Maintenance Object Update:
1. Set any plain text font to Helvetica or a Helvetica-based font. The style (bold, normal, italic, etc) doesn't matter, but the font needs to be Helvetica or a Helvetica-based font.
2. If you are using a bar code on your Gift Card template, then make sure the bar code font is an IDAutomationC128 bar code and make sure the font style is set to Normal only and, and NOT Bold or Bold Italic, etc....
These are known issues which are addressed in RecTrac 3.1.07.01. VSI recommends updating to 3.1.07.01 as soon as possible. If you cannot update, then contact VSI Support to discuss patch options.
