RecTrac 3.1.08.2: 'The reCAPTCHA option is wrong, please try again' when adding HHs in WebTrac
Problem
Since updating to 3.1.08.02, our patrons are receiving this message when a new user is creating an account in WebTrac:
The reCAPTCHA option is wrong, please try again.
Solution
There are three (3) things that must be done to resolve this:
1. Generate new ReCaptcha keys to ensure you are using ReCaptcha V2.
2. Once you have those new keys, go to your WebTrac Parameters profile in RecTrac Profile Management and enter them in their respective fields in the ReCaptcha Settings group.
3. Ensure you have the ReCaptcha Group and ReCaptcha Field on your WebTrac Household Add screen. If you are using a Custom WebTrac Household Add screen, then perform the following:
- In RecTrac, go to WebTrac Management Screen Management.
- Click Update All Screens. At the drop-down list, select '3.1.08.02.' (If you do NOT have a Custom Screen for SAHousheoldAdd, then you are done. Exit back to the main menu.)
- If you have a Custom Screen for SAHouseholdAdd, then highlight/select it and click Change.
- Expand the Core (SAHouseholdAdd_Tab1) (Tab) group. Look for SAHouseholdAdd_GroupReCaptcha (Group).
- If it exists, expand it and look for SAHouseholdAdd_ReCaptcha (ReCaptcha).
- If it exists, then exit back to the Main Menu.
- If neither the Group nor the Field exists, then you must add them.
- Click the '?' Help icon and follow the link to the Custom Screen Design Topic Document for assistance/reference with screen design, if needed.
