Allow partial payments on WebTrac

Problem
I am working on testing my camp programs in Demo to make sure I have the fees done properly. This year we placed a deposit on the activity level as we only want families to be required to pay 50% upfront. However, when I checkout on the Demo WebTrac the entire fee is due. We would love to be able to take partial payments in WebTrac. How do I adjust my fees to make that happen?
Solution
You will need to set the Payment profile on the WWW user to allow partial payments. Then you need to make sure that the fee on the item itself allows partial payments.
Steps For Solution
- In RecTrac, go to Profile Assignments.
- Find the WWW user, and highlight the Payment Profile linked to this user.
- Click Update.
- Expand the Default Payment Amount Settings group.
- For each module that you want to accept partial payments, change the corresponding field to Minimum Due or None.
- Click Save.
- Go to the fee you want to allow partial payment.
- This may be linked to the item itself, a higher linking level, or a part of a set; Your setup may vary.
- With the fee highlighted, click Change > Advanced Fee Change.
- Expand the Miscellaneous Settings group
- Set your Minimum Payment Option to either Percent - WebTrac Only or Fixed Amount - WebTrac Only.
- Change the Minimum Payment Amount to a percentage or quantity of your choosing.
- Click Save to save the fee.
- Click Save to save the item or record.
You should now be able to access partial payments on WebTrac for the fee(s) you updated.
