Why are New Households in WebTrac suddenly requiring 'Approval?'
Problem
We've had a few patrons contact us about registering online and then getting a message stating that they need to wait for approval. I investigated by creating a household and got the following message after inputting all of my information: 'Thank you for registering. Please wait for your household to be approved.'
I don't see where to resolve this.
Solution
This is most likely due to your setting in the New Household Option on your WebTrac Parameters profile. Change the New Household Option to Live, instead of Batch, This means that when a customer creates an account online, they will be emailed their new username and pin and will automatically be set up as a household in RecTrac.
1. In RecTrac, go to Profile Management (Management Ribbon System Management User/Menu/Profile Management group *226; Profile Management, in the Standard VSI Design.)
2. Highlight/select your WebTrac Parameters profile and click Change.
3. Expand the New/Forgotten Settings group (in the Standard VSI Design).
4. Expand the Drop-down list for New Household Option and select 'Live.' Use the 'i' Help icon for field definitions, if needed.
5. Save your changes and Exit back to the main menu.
6. Changes take effect immediately upon a patron's next entry to your WebTrac site.
