In this video, we'll be discussing the no validate credit card Profile. This is the setup here. So the Profile Type is a credit card. And the Profile subtype is no validate compared to your normal PayTrac CardConnect ETS options there. So as you can see, there is no setup for this, like your normal credit card Profile would have your merchant ID, Username, password, all that good stuff, this one has none of that. So this is used to fix credit card transactions without actually charging the card. So your customer will not see this on their statement at all. It only reflects in RecTrac. When we use this Profile, we only want to link it to the user that will be processing the transaction, nobody else so they can continue doing their normal credit card processing in this one users the only one impacted.

These transactions with a no validate Profile will show on cash journals and GL reports, but not on the credit card report. Again, we're not actually charging a card. Therefore it will not show up on the credit card reports. And most forgotten step of all is once you're done with your transaction, make sure to unlink it from Profile assignments, so you can go back to processing normal credit cards. So to set this up, we are going to start here in Profile assignments. And we have our hierarchy here in the middle, and our available profiles on the left. So we want to start by looking at our credit card Type on the left. And we want to find our no validate Profile. And again, if you don't have one, just hit the Add Button at the bottom. And make sure to select the credit card Type and no validate subtype.

And so to complete this, we're going to go through and again link this to the one user that's going to be processing the transaction will say in my case, it will be the the ZZZ user, it's how I'm logged in. So for me, I do have a current credit card Profile linked here PayTrac One. So again, I need to unlink that first in order to link a different one in its place. So I'm going to Click and drag PayTrac off of here, release that on the left, I'm going to find my no validate Profile, and Click and drag and drop that on my Username. And when I link up credit card Profile, it's going to ask me how would I want to use this. And I will say in this case purchase and continue. So now it is linked to my Username, any credit card sale that I perform now under the Z Z Z user will be using this no valid options.

So if I go to global sales, and I make a sale say we're gonna buy a cheeseburger here. breaking a rule there, ignore that. All right, so 250, and I'm gonna pay that with a credit card. So I'm going to pick my same pay code option than I normally would for any other credit card sale. And when I process I don't get any prompt there to insert or swipe the credit card, anything like that. I have my receipts generated with the credit card pay code. And the mask number doesn't show up because obviously there wasn't any card involved there. But that will now show up on my cash journal GL reports. And again, most important step is to remember to unlink this when you're done. So Click and drag no validate off. If you didn't have one there to begin with. You're good. If you had one before, make sure to replace that again. And now you're good to go. Perform your normal credit card transactions.
