3.1 Scholarship Payments: Only $0.00 of the payment can be applied message
Problem
When trying to purchase something with a Scholarship Pay Code, the following message displays:
'Only $0.00 of the $25.00 payment can be applied to items in your shopping cart. Would you like to only pay this amount?'
The family has a scholarship and the amount remaining on it is enough to cover the purchase. What's wrong?
Solution
This is likely because the Allow Scholarship Use Across Family Members option is DISABLED on your Payment profile and you are trying to make a Scholarship payment for a member that was NOT issued the scholarship.
Scholarships in 3.1 are issued to individual family members using the Family Member Scholarship Management program. To allow anyone in the Household to use that scholarship as payment, the Allow Scholarship Use Across Family Members option must be enabled on the Payment profile.
Go to Profile Assignments and update the setting. Changes take effect immediately.
Note: This is NOT a System-Wide setting. This is a Profile-based setting only. IF you have multiple Payment profiles in your system, VSI strongly recommends ensuring the Allow Scholarship Use Across Family Members option is set consistently on each profile.
