Clear Outstanding Household Balances

Problem
We have multiple debits that have gone uncollected or were incorrectly applied to a household. How can we clear these out?
Solution
You can adjust fees and amounts due through Purchase History in Global Sales.
Steps For Solution
- In RecTrac, go to Global Sales for the Household with the debit balance.
- Click Purchase History.
- Select the item with a balance due.
- Click Update Fees > Update Fees.
- Adjust the fee down to zero.
- Click Continue the item will be added to the shopping cart.
- Repeat for any additional items in this Household's Purchase History.
- Click the Payment button.
- Note: As long as the Amount Due is $0 you do not need to select a Pay Code.
- Click Process.
This will process through a transaction updating the fee records on these items to no longer reflect a debit balance. Repeat as needed for any additional households with a debit balance that needs to be cleared out.
