Problem
We have a discount linked at the module level which we would like to exclude from applying to certain activities. How can we set this up in RecTrac?
Solution
You can exclude specific record Codes, Categories, Types, etc. from this discount by adding a Current Item criteria and making use of Not Mode.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Module Management.
- From the DataGrid, highlight the module that the discount fee is linked to. (i.e AR for Activity Enrollments)
- Click Change.
- Click on the Fees tab.
- From the Fees DataGrid, highlight the discount.
- Click Change > Change Fee.
- Under Other Criteria select Current Item.
- Click Add New Criteria.
- On the Criteria Update pop up set the following fields to the following values:
- Current Item Group to Activity Code (or any other activity option you wish to exclude from this discount. i.e Activity Category)
- Use the picklist next to the Activity Code to select the Activities you wish to exclude.
- Toggle on Not Mode.
- Click Save to save the criteria.
- Click Save to save the discount fee.
- Click Save to save the module record.
The Activity should now be excluded from the module-level discount.
