The Brochure Template Update program allows you to add or make changes to Activity Brochure templates. The template(s) you create can be used in the AR Brochure program to generate an export file of activity registration information (i.e. meeting dates, times, location, fees, etc.) in the format you create.
To use a template when running the brochure, enter "VSI" in the Activity Brochure Code field on your Static Parameters profile

Go to the AR Brochure program and and select the template you wish to use from the Brochure Template Code field.
Note: Field names on the screen with red labels* are required by the screen design you are using. Mandatory fields in the default Vermont Systems design are noted where appropriate. Your design and mandatory fields may vary.

Click Save to save your changes. You will return to the previous screen.

Template Code (SABrochure_TemplateCode)
If you are creating a new Brochure Template, enter your code in this field. Codes may be alpha and/or numeric. This is a mandatory field for the default VSI RecTrac Design. Your Design and setup may vary.
If you are updating an existing template you won't visit this field.
DeleteDescription (SABrochure_Description)
Enter the Description for your Brochure Template in this field.
DeleteOutput Type (SABrochure_OutputType)
Select your Output Type that you will use when running the AR Brochure program.
- RTF - Rich text format.
- TXT - Text file format.
Brochure Template Rows (SABrochureUpdate_SABrochureRowDataGrid)
The Output Rows DataGrid contains the records that make up your brochure file.

Click Add to continue to the Brochure Row Update screen where you can add a new row.
Highlight an existing row and click Change to continue to the Brochure Row Update screen where you can make changes.
Highlight an existing row and click Delete to remove the row from your template
Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving any changes.
Click Save to save changes and then return to the previous screen.

Select your Sort Options 1-5 for the brochure from the list provided, if desired. The system allows for up to three (5) sorts; you can use some or all of them. Regardless of how many sort options you choose, there is always a final sort for Activity Code/Section."

DeleteDate Display Option (SABrochure_DateDisplayOptions)
Select your Date Display Option. Here are some examples :
- mm/dd - Month and day separated by a slash with no leading zeros and no year. For example, June 4, 2025 displays as 6/4" and November 20 2025 displays as "11/20."
- 01 Jan yyyy - Two-digit day abbreviated month and four-digit year. For example 6/4/2022 2025 displays as "04 Jun 2025" and November 20 2025 displays as "11 Nov 2025"
- mm/dd/yy - Month day and year formatted without leading zeros and offset by slashes. For example 6/4/2022 2025 displays as "6/4/25" and November 20 2025 displays as "11/20/25."
- dd.mm.yyyy - Day and month and four-digit year formatted without leading zeros and offset by periods. For example 6/4/2022 2025 displays as "4.6.2025" and November 20 2025 displays as "20.11.2025."
- etc.
Fee Display Options (SABrochure_FeeDisplayOptions)
Select your Fee Display Options. Multiple selection is allowed. Leave this field blank if you do not want to include any.
- Truncate .00 Amounts - Decimals (cents) will not display for programs that cost an even dollar amount. For example, if the program costs $100.00, it will display as 100;" but if it costs $100.50 it will display as "100.50."
- Use 'Free' (Language Code) for $0 Dollar Classes - Insert the word "Free" in lieu of "0.00" for programs that do not cost anything. This is a Language Code and can be updated to a word or phrase other than "Free" if desired.
AM/PM Display Option (SABrochure_AMPMDisplayOption)
Select your AM/PM Display Option.
- Lowercase a/p - For example: 10:00 a, 03:30 p
- Lowercase am/pm - For example: 10:00 am, 03:30 pm
- Uppercase A/P - For example: 10:00 A, 03:30 P
- Uppercase AM/PM - For example: 10:00 AM, 03:30 PM
- 24 Hour - For example: 10:00, 15:30
Time Range Display Options (SABrochure_TimeRangeDisplayOptions)
Select your Time Range Display Options. Multiple selection is allowed. Leave this field blank if you do not want to include any.
- Truncate on the Hour Times - 00" will not display for programs that start or stop on the hour. For example if the program starts at 10:00 AM it will display as "10;" but if it starts at 10:30 AM it will display as "10:30"
- Display AM/PM Designation for Ending Time Only when They're the Same - Append your AM/PM designator to the ending time for programs that do not span a meridiem. For example a program that runs from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM will display as "8:00 - 10:00 AM" but a program tha runs from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM will display as "11:00 AM - 2:00 PM."
