The Fee Group Update screen is used to add, update or delete Fee Groups.

From the bottom of the screen....
Click Save to save your changes. You will be returned to the previous screen.
Click Cancel to return the previous screen without saving your changes.
To exit this program, click 'X' on the title bar. You will be returned to the Main Menu or the previous program.

Fee Group Code (SAFEEGROUP_RecordCode)
If you are creating a new Fee Group, enter your code in this field. This field will accept up to 30 alpha-numeric characters. This is a mandatory field for the default VSI RecTrac Design. Your Design and setup may vary.
For Example: RES NON-RES AR FEES
If you are updating an existing Fee Group you will not visit this field.
DeleteDescription (SAFEEGROUP_Description)
Enter the Description for this Fee Group. This field will accept up to 100 alpha-numeric characters.
For Example: Resident/Non-Resident Activity Fees
DeleteMax Fees Allowed To Be Selected (SAFEEGROUP_AllowedFees)
Enter a numerical value in this field using whole numbers. The value you enter equates to the maximum number of fees in this Group that may be selected at any one time. Fee Group can consist of a virtually unlimited number of fees; this field allows you to limit the maximum number of fees that can be charged in one (1) transaction against the item to which this fee group is linked.
For Example: Your Fee Group consists of 10 possible fees that may be charged. You enter '5' in this field. Of the 10 fees in the Group, up to five (5) may be selected and charged. Fewer than five (5) may be selected but more than five (5) will be disallowed per transaction for this item.
DeleteMin Fees Required To Be Selected (SAFEEGROUP_RequiredFees)
Enter a numerical value in this field using whole numbers. The value you enter equates to the minimum number of fees in this Group that must be selected during a transaction to which this Fee Group is linked. Fee Group can consist of a virtually unlimited number of fees; this field allows you to set the minimum number of possible fees that must be charged in one (1) transaction against the item to which this fee group is linked.
For Example: Your Fee Group consists of 10 possible fees that may be charged. You enter '2' in this field. Of the 10 fees in the Group, at least two (2) must be selected and charged in order to complete the transaction. More than two (2) may be selected but fewer than two (i.e. selecting only one) will be disallowed when processing a transaction for this item.
DeletePrompt for Fees during Add to Cart (SAFEEGROUP_UserPrompt)
Select this option to have the system prompt for fee when adding the item(s) to which this fee group is linked to the shopping cart. When this option is selected the user will be presented with a Fees dialog that lists all fees in the group for which the purchaser qualifies. It is then up to the end user to select which fees to apply.
'Required Fees' (i.e. any Fee with the Fee Required? option enabled) will be selected for inclusion automatically, if the patron meets the applicable fee criteria.
Note: If using this option VSI advises you to use Minimum and Maximum Fees to Charge values in order to help ensure patrons are not under-charged or overcharged due to selection of too few or too many applicable fees.
Check Group Headcount/Quantity Total (SAFEEGROUP_CheckGroup)
Select this option to have the system check that fee counts for this group - when pricing by headcount - matches the headcount entered. This provides a check only; it does not impact the actual charging of fees. Generally speaking, you will use this feature when using Headcount to determine fees for Tickets, Trips, etc….
For Example: Your Trip Fee Group consists of fees for Seniors, Adults, Students, and Children and you use 'per head' pricing. Prompt for Fees during Add to Cart is enabled. A patron purchases four (4) tickets. With this option selected, the system will ensure that the Count entered on the Fee Prompt screen equals four (4) by any combination (i.e. 2 Adults and 2 Children; 1 Adult, 2 Students, and 1 Child; 4 Seniors; etc...).
With this option enabled, the system will not let you continue with the transaction until the count is correct.
DeleteCustom Description (SAFEEGROUP_CustomDescription)
Enter a Custom Description in this field, if desired. The text you enter will appear in lieu of the text in the Description field and is displayed as:
- RecTrac - A header for the Fee Group in Global Sales. This allows you to customize the phrasing you wish to use when informing clerks in RecTrac which Fees to select or how many Fees may be selected.
- WebTrac - A mouse-over tool tip for the Add" option for any of the Fees linked to the Fee Group. This allows you to customize the phrasing you wish to use when informing WebTrac customers which Fees to select or how many Fees may be selected.
Leave this field blank to use the text in the Description field in RecTrac/WebTrac as described above instead.
