The RecTrac Session Management program displays RecTrac sessions and sub-sessions and provides a means for you to close sessions, if needed. Hanging/idle RecTrac sessions take up login resources, and this program can be useful for managing those manually.
Note: The Session Cleaner Scheduled Event automates this process for idle and/or inactive sessions that meet or exceed your "timeout" thresholds as defined in the Static Parameters profile• Session Cleaner Settings Group.
By default, the Sessions DataGrid displays Open sessions by Session ID. You can expand the Drop-down list for Session Status to view "Closed" and "Problem Only" sessions, if desired. "Problem Only" sessions are those which the Session Cleaner tried and failed to close. Overwrite the Max Records to Show value and press the <Tab> key to limit the number of records being displayed in the Sessions DataGrid, if needed.
To Close a Session
- Search the DataGrid for the session(s) you wish to close.
- Highlight/select it in the DataGrid and click Close Session.
- Read the Challenge Message and answer Yes to end the session.
- Repeat as needed for other sessions, if desired.
