Issue Key | Issue Summary | Customer Note |
RT31-14618524521 | Auto Verify/Opt In email addresses created via the Household Import utility | The Household Import program has been updated to automatically Verify and Opt In all email addresses provided in the import file. This has been done to allow Universities and other entities with an alternate source of Household data collection to communicate with their patrons immediately upon import assuming permission has already been granted for communications through other means when the email address was originally collected. |
RT31-14618524492 | Hotfix - Touch Tree Group Buttons Not Working 3.1.10.23.00 | Touch POS Switch buttons whose Show Layers When Clicked settings are configured with a Tree layer assignment will no longer present a Layer not loaded yet! Please try again! error in Touch POS processing. This will now properly transition you to the tree layer. |
RT31-14618524477 | Implement an Email Address Blacklist to account for known invalid email addresses | To account for a common business practice of RecTrac users entering generic placeholder email addresses for households who do not wish to supply an email we have implemented a hardcoded email blacklist. Any email address where the left hand side of the @ symbol matches one of the patterns listed will not be sent: na@*, no@*, none@*, noone@*, noemail@*. Clients should update internal business practices to use one of these patterns if they insist on entering an invalid email address for accounts that decline to provide a valid email address. |
RT31-14618524476 | Add the ability to capture/update email verification on WebTrac | A new setting has been added to the WebTrac Parameters profile to proactively seek email verification from patrons who have not previously verified their email address and/or verified it more than X days in the past. When a patron logs into WebTrac; if their primary email address has not been verified or if their verification date is more than X days in the past, the system will automatically send the patron a verification email so they can verify and update their email preferences. |
RT31-14618524467 | Remove Authorize Communication via Email and Promotional toggles from the Web Account Settings page and RecTrac Web Details screen. | The WebTrac Account Settings and RecTrac Web Details screens have had the Authorize communication via email and Promotional fields removed as this Opt In/Subscribe functionality is now controlled solely by the Email Verification process and is now specific to individual email addresses rather than entire households. In addition, the option to set these values using the Bulk Web Username Password Update program has been removed. |
RT31-14618524455 | Send verification email(s) when a Household/Member is created/updated? | The RecTrac and WebTrac Household Add/Update programs will now trigger a verification email to be sent to the email address provided to obtain Email Verification and Opt-In preference for email communications. If the same email address is used for one or more households or family members; the email address retains a single verification and opt in status. If the email address has previously been verified and/or opted in from a prior action, a new verification email will NOT be sent. Verification emails can only be sent once per day to a given email address. Providing the same email address for multiple members in a household will result in a single verification email. |
RT31-14618524454 | Add Email Verification Logic and update the Subscribe/Unsubscribe WebTrac Screen | When a patron clicks on the Verify button in a Verification Email, the system will automatically update the last verified date and verification status of their email address and redirect them to the WebTrac Subscribe screen so they may opt in to receive further communications from you. To comply with industry best practice, a message has been added on this screen explaining to the patron how they can unsubscribe from communications in the future. On clicking the Subscribe button, the Opt In Date, Status, and IP Address will be set on the Email Address record in RecTrac to ensure the patron is included in all future communications via RecConnect. |
RT31-14618524453 | Modify RecConnect behavior for how Unverified and Opted Out email addresses are handled | The RecConnect program has been updated to no longer send emails to unverified email addresses. Columns have been added to the RecConnect results data grid displaying the Verification and Opt In status of each email address in the result set. All RecTrac RecConnect programs have been updated with a new field: Include Email Addresses that have opted out of marketing emails. This toggle will always default to off, and will never be memorized. If you choose to toggle this on, you will be then be presented with a pop up message confirming your selection. Best practice is to leave this option off for all marketing type of communication, and only turn it on for transactional emails such as Cancellation Alerts, Reminder Notifications, etc. |
RT31-14618524452 | Post update step to Verify and Opt In email addresses for Households, Teams, and Members with recent database activity | An automated post update scheduled event will run following the 3.1.10.24.00 update to update Email Verification and Opt In settings for all households with a Last Active Date that is 180 days or less in the past. This procedure will update the Primary Email Address on the Household, the Primary Email Address on each Team linked to the household, and the Primary Email Address linked to each member in the household. The linked email records will be updated with last verified and opt in dates equal to the household last active date. All other email address records in the system will remain Unverified and Opted Out of email communications. |
