Enroll by Day Activity pulls the Item Begin Date from each day instead of the Section Begin Date

Problem
We have a rule with Age criteria for our enroll-by-day activity sections. Children can register for any day as long as they are between the ages of 4.00 to 4.99 by the Section Begin Date. However, RecTrac is allowing them to register for any day until the child is outside of the age range. Then the child is not allowed to register for any more days. How do we get the Age criteria to pull the Section Begin Date rather than each day being its own Begin Date?
Solution
When an Activity Section is set to enroll-by-day, RecTrac considers each day as its Item Begin Date. If you want the rule to pull the Section Begin Date, you will need to use "Actual Date" in your rule criteria and set the "Actual Date" to the Section Begin Date.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Activity Section Management.
- From the DataGrid, highlight the enroll-by-day section.
- Click Change.
- Click on the Rules tab.
- Highlight the rule using the Age criteria.
- Click Change > Change Rule.
- Highlight the Age criteria from the Linked Criteria DataGrid.
- Click Change.
- Switch the Aging Date Option from Item Begin Date to Actual Date.
- Set the Actual Date to your Section Begin Date.
- Click Save to save your updated criteria.
- Click Save to save the rule.
- Click Save to save the record.
The rule will now use the Section Begin Date, rather than using an Item Begin Date for each day.
