Registration Date Rule Exception For an Activity

Problem
We have rules set at the season level to open and end registration. How do we add an exception to that rule for a specific activity to allow WebTrac registration up to a specific date after the item/program begin/start date?
Solution
Create a rule with the Rule option of Allow on the Activity code that is the exception. When creating this rule, make sure to add an ORGROUP## and save. Update the rule on the season level to include the same ORGROUP##. Note: Both rules must be have the Rule Option set to Allow.
Steps For Solution
- Go to Activity Management, and locate the activity code that is allowing registration beyond the item's begin date, highlight it.
- Click Change
- Click the Rules tab
- Click Add > Add Rule. Configure like so:
- Rule Description: enter as desired.
- Rule Option: must be Allow
- Transaction Type: minimally include Purchase
- Rule Group: choose OrGroup# any but remember which one (# is an actual number 1, 2, ex. OrGroup1)
- In the section for Add New Criteria, use the Other Criteria option to locate the option for Transaction Date then click Add. Configure like so:
- Operator: On or Before
- Date: enter the desired end registration date
- Date Option: Current Transaction Date
- Click Save. Then return to the section for Add New Criteria. Use the Other Criteria option to locate the option for Interface Type then click Add. Configure like so:
- Interface: Select WebTrac and Mobile WebTrac
- Click Save.
- Click Save.
- Update the rule at the season level adding the same Rule Group selection as chosen above in step 2.
- Click Save.
