Can't search by name in Pass Visit Processing
RecTrac 3.1.10.30.01
Table of Contents
Problem
Our Pass Visit Processing screen usually pulls up a Person Lookup DataGrid when we do a Name Lookup, but it is now immediately showing a "Denied" swipe. How do we get the Person Lookup DataGrid to display again?
Solution
The resolution for this depends on how the RecTrac user is processing the Name Lookup. If the Person Lookup screen appears when using the Lookup dropdown button, but doesn't appear when typing in the name and hitting the Enter key, then you will need to either toggle off Unattended mode within Visit Processing or switch the Process Type on the Visit profile from “UnAttended” to “Attended.”
Note:
When Visit Processing is in Unattended mode, the Name Lookup data will not display.
If you are getting a "Denied" swipe regardless of how you do the Name Lookup, then you will need to go to "Clear All Cache" from Processing Screen Management.
Steps For Solution
If using the Enter key for Name Lookup results in a denied status, either:
- Toggle off Unattended Mode on the Visit Processing screen.
- Type the Name of the patron and press Enter
The Person Lookup screen will now show.
OR:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Profile Assignments.
- Locate and highlight the Visit profile linked to your profile hierarchy.
- Click Update.
- Change the Process Type from UnAttended to Attended.
- Click Save.
Close Pass Visit Processing and open it again, the Person Lookup screen will now show when using the enter key for a Name Lookup.
If Pass Visit Processing results in a denied status regardless of the Lookup option:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Processing Screen Management.
- Click Clear All Cache.
- Click Continue.
Once all cache is cleared, close Pass Visit Processing and open it again, the Person Lookup screen will now show for both Name Lookup options.
