How to Create A Report with Waitlist Ordering

Problem
I want to create a report that has the waitlist in order so that we know who is next in line for the activity enrollment. How can I add this information to my report?
Solution
From Report Output Management you can clone the VSI-Activity Roster Report and create a custom version that includes the Waitlist Number field, then designate the Waitlist Number as a Sorted Field.
Steps For Solution
- In RecTrac, go to Report Output Management.
- From the DataGrid, highlight the VSI-Activity Roster Report.
- Click Clone.
- Give your new report a title Description (i,e Activity Roster Report with Waitlist Ordering).
- Click Save.
- With the newly cloned report highlighted within the DataGrid, click Update Output.
- Click the Columns button and select Insert at End to create a new cell.
- Note: If printing this report as a PDF, the Total Width should be 100% or less to ensure your data fits on the page.
- Search for the WaitlistNumber field in the Available Fields section
- Drag and drop the WaitlistNumber field to the empty cell.
- Drag and drop the WaitlistNumber field to the Sorted Fields section, above the First/Last Name fields but below Activity Code, Section, Year, and Season.
- In the Default configuration of the VSI-Activity Roster Report, this would make WaitlistNumber the 5th Sorted Field.
- Click Save and Exit to save the new template.
- Click Run Report.
- Click Continue on the Run Option Pop-up.
- Select your desired Sections from the DataGrid or use Section Range criteria.
- Change Enrollment Status to Waitlisted.
- Click Process to process the new report.
Once the report finishes processing the output should not only contain the waitlist numbers but also sort the roster by the waitlist number.
