RecTrac WAN Loads but every Login Gives Invalid Credentials
RecTrac 3.1.10.16.00
Table of Contents
Problem
Although the RecTrac WAN connection loads, all usernames and passwords return an Invalid Credentials error. Note: The credentials are verified to work in LAN.
Error Message
Invalid UserName/Password.
Solution
The root issue is that the Interface Parameter created for RecTrac WAN is set as 'Interface Type WebTrac.' To adjust, in RecTrac, navigate to Interface Parameters. In the Config.ini, under <x>:\VSI3\RecTrac\Programs, delete both entries for the WAN URL. In DB_Utiities, run Update Interface Parameters for the WAN URL. In OpenEdge Explorer, restart the CLIENTlive WebSpeed.
Steps For Solution
- In RecTrac, go to Interface Parameters and delete the entry referring to the "WAN" connection.
- Go to Config.ini, located at <x>:\VSI3\RecTrac\Programs, and delete the entry for the WAN URL (you will notice the Interface=WebTrac although the URL in the [ ] refers to the WAN connection).
- Open DB_Utilities and run Update Interface Parameters for the WAN URL.
- Open OpenEdge Explorer and restart the CLIENTlive WebSpeed broker.
