10.3 and 3.1 Zero (0) Receipt Number Transactions Displaying on the RecTrac Credit Card Report
Problem
The RecTrac Credit Card Report is showing transactions with a receipt number of zero. What causes this and what needs to be done to correct it?
Solution
Zero receipt numbers on the credit card report are caused by transactions that hit the credit card processor but did not post in RecTrac. Typically, you can resolve this issue by reprocessing the transactions in RecTrac while linked to a NOVAL or CCMAN credit card device.
- The Novalid Device should be used in situations where the transaction does NOT need to be reflected on the Credit Card Report. The CCMAN Device should be used if the transaction DOES need to be reflected on the Credit Card Report.
- In order for a CCMAN transaction to be shown on the Credit Card Report, it will need to be linked as Allowed on the Credit Card Device the user running the report is linked to.
However, the actual steps involved will vary depending on your cash handling procedures, device set up, RecTrac Permissions and the actual nature of the transaction failure.
