10.3 and 3.1 MX925 declining all sales using the EMV Chip; Swipe sales work
Problem
The clerk uses the credit card pay code to pay for a transaction. The MX925 activates and the customer inserts the credit card into the reader. The MX925 appears to process the card and tells the customer to remove the credit card from the reader. However, all chipped credit cards are declined. If the clerk uses the manual entry pay code, the clerk can type in the credit card number on the pin pad and the transaction is approved.
Solution
There is a toggle in the Payware POINT account setup labeled 'Enable Device for ByPass/EMV'. This is a per-terminal setting in Payware.
