CardConnect 3.1: 'Unable to communicate with credit card gateway. Please try transaction again'
Problem
We are getting this error when trying to process card:
Unable to communicate with credit card gateway. Please try transaction again.
In build 3.1.06.12 and previous, the error is followed by error code 00082.
In build 3.1.06.13 and greater, the error code is 00114
In VIC, the following appears: 'Index was outside the bounds of the array.'
Solution
Check your CardConnect Pinpad profile and ensure there are no special characters in the Welcome Message field. The Welcome Message field accepts alpha-numeric characters only.
Special Characters include: !@#$%^&*()_+=-/~`
Delete any special characters and Save changes. Attempt the transaction again.
